Aris Malliaros

Aris Malliaros has 20 years’ experience in private equity, investment banking and corporate finance advisory obtained both in the UK and South Africa.
He has extensive experience in originating, managing and exiting both early stage and high growth equity investments, as well as mezzanine debt finance.
His investment management experience includes amongst other things managing distressed or turnaround assets that required strategic and operational input from the investment manager/ financier.
Aris joined Salt Capital as a Partner in June 2019 and prior to that spent 9.5 years at Grindrod Bank and Grindrod Financial Services of which the last five years he held the position of Head: Private Equity managing an investment portfolio of R500m.
Aris also spent six years in London from 2001 – 2007, working in the Capital Markets and Corporate Finance teams at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he led cross-border and UK based transactions covering debt securitisations, equity IPO’s and M&A deals.
During his final year in London, Aris joined the Private Equity team at Henderson Global Investors focusing on infrastructure investments with an AUM of £1.2 billion.
Aris holds a Bachelor and a Honours degree in Accounting Sciences and is a Chartered Accountant registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
