Larry Gilley

Larry Gilley has been Trustee of Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool and City Manager at the City of Abilene, Texas since June 2002.
Prior to joining the City of Abilene, he served as City Manager at the City of San Marcos, Texas for 14 years.
Mr. Gilley is a Member of the International City Management Association and the Texas City Management Association.
He was President of the Texas City Management Association.
Mr. Gilley served as an Adjunct Graduate Faculty Member of the MPA Advisory Council at Texas State University.
He began his career in Municipal Government as City Manager in Bovina, Texas in 1976 and later served as City Manager of Panhandle, Texas.
Mr. Gilley received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Texas Tech University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Texas State University.
