Raphael Steiner

Mr. Raphael Steiner is a Senior Advisor at AIL Structured Finance AG.
He is on the Board of Directors at AIL Structured Finance AG.
He is responsible for the structuring of project and export financings, arranging of Equity and Debt Capital, financial modeling, and commercial project and contract structuring.
Furthermore, he was previously a Senior Vice President, leading the oil & gas team at ABB Structured Finance Advisory, Zurich.
Besides, he was also a Member of the Underwriting & Syndication Group.
Before this, he was a team leader in the arranging and underwriting of a gas-fired power plant in Mexico.
He was also an Associate Director at ABB Project trade Finance AG in Baden, Germany, structuring financings in the power generation, transmission & distribution, and railway equipment sectors.
He started his career at Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS), Equity Banking, where he was responsible for the management of a portfolio of equity participation.
There he was also working on lead arranging mandate for a coal-fired power plant in Australia and for an oil refinery project in Europe, responsible for a portfolio of project finance transactions.
He studied at the University of Basel.
