Client investment portfolios are generally a customized mix of funds from managers upon which the firm has conducted appropriate due diligence.

Provides investment advisory services

Convergent Wealth Advisors' investment philosophy focuses on strategic asset allocation and diversification and unbiased, open architecture investing. The firm employs quantitative and qualitative analysis in their selection of investment managers. In addition to traditional investments, Convergent offers access to alternative investments including private equity and real estate. The firm assists clients in determining their investment needs and objectives, as well as risk tolerance, through the use of an asset optimization model for asset allocation and research on investments and investment managers. After the client’s asset classes have been determined, Convergent's advisory team recommends managers and/or products that have been evaluated by the Investment Strategy Group (ISG), Convergent’s research group. The recommended strategies are based on the client’s goals, investment objectives, risk tolerance, and cash flow needs, which are documented in an Investment Policy Statement and reviewed periodically. Convergent implements the allocation into appropriate mutual funds, ETFs, private investment funds (including private equity funds), and/or investment managers within each asset class that meet the client’s individual requirements. Convergent does not recommend individual company stocks and bonds.

Provides financial advisory and wealth management services

Legacy Advisors primarily offers advice on unaffiliated mutual funds, exchange traded funds, independent investment managers, and private investment funds. However, the firm may advise clients on any type of investment that the firm deems appropriate based on the client’s stated goals and objectives.

Threshold Group works with each client to develop an appropriate allocation of assets among asset classes including, but not necessarily limited to equities, fixed income securities, commodities, currencies and real estate. The firm provides advice concerning the structure of a client’s portfolio but not with respect to underlying securities. Threshold Group recommends strategies that come in different investment structures including separately managed accounts, private investment funds, mutual funds and ETFs to make portfolio investments in based on each client's specified investment objectives. The firm maintains a strategic relationship with Portfolio Advisors LLC through which they offer clients access to private equity funds sponsored by Portfolio Advisors LLC. In addition, Threshold Group may recommend one or more separate account overlay programs to access investment managers they recommend to clients. In these overlay programs, the client enters into a discretionary investment advisory agreement with Threshold Group. Threshold Group has entered into investment management agreements with overlay managers to implement the underlying strategies.

LNW develops asset allocation strategies that focus on risk management through their research of capital markets and macroeconomic trends. The firm's investment process begins with a combination of top-down and bottom-up analysis of stocks with a focus on growth sectors. They seek to identify companies with quality management teams, low P/E ratios, sound balance sheets and above-average earnings per share growth. Sector percentages are determined on a top-down basis and change as fundamental valuations warrant.
